BNB Smart Chain Introduces an Upgrade Named Planck
BNB Smart Chain (BSC) is most likely to introduce an upgradation named at the block height of 27,281,024. It was disclosed that this upgradation is already scheduled and announced in the crypto market. According to the BNB Smart Chain (BSC), existing blockchain generation predicts to take place at 05:30 AM (UTC) on the 12th of April 2023. So, it was advised to all full node operators and validators to update their software to version v1.1.21 before the given time.

Contextual Background
Max Plank, who lived from 1857 to 1947 was the renowned German Physicist. He was the one behind quantum theory and the father of quantum mechanics. Max Planck received a noble award in 1918 for his services in physics. Moreover, he was also awarded many awards and honours for his extraordinary achievements.
While Hard Fork is an exceptional kind of upgrade which is not compatible with previous versions of BNB Chain. It requires more than half the number of validators to constitute blocks. In case of not upgradation of the existing version, they would not be able to execute and receive blocks after the height of a normal hard fork. It is important to note that this upgrade will happen at the block height of 27,281,024. After the upgrade’s activation, this blockchain would be able to fix bugs and introduce new features.
Pros and Cons of Hard Fork Upgrade
This upgrade is exclusive and users need to upgrade to the v1.1.21 version. If your version is synced with the previous network, you need to download the latest version. Cease the previous geth process and restart with the latest version v1.1.21. If you forget to upgrade the software, you won’t be able to sync with the latest version of BNB Smart Chain (BSC). Moreover, you won’t be able to send or connect transactions. And if you need to recover, do the same procedure mentioned above to upgrade your software.
With this upgradation, there is a number of changes on the way. There will be BEP-171 Enhanced Security features for the Cross-Chain Modules between BNB Smart Chain and BNB Beacon Chain. Moreover, BEP-172 will also be available known for Slash Occur’s Network Stability Enhancement.
