Alibaba Cloud Sets Up Japan Blockchain Lab For Game Developers

Alibaba Cloud has announced the launch of a new blockchain lab in Shibuya, Tokyo in partnership with Skeleton Crew Studio. The lab is set to serve as an incubation hub to help Japan game developers explore business opportunities in the Web 3.0 era. It will be open to some customers and hackathon participants who are working on collaborative projects with Alibaba Cloud. Engineers from partner companies specializing in Alibaba Cloud and blockchain will provide technical support locally, and developers will provide regular seminars, workshops, and networking events.

Gaming Ecosystem Scaling Solutions

Developers will have access to Alibaba Cloud’s Web3 partner ecosystem, including Safeheron, NodeReal, and COCOS-BCX, which are all scaling solution providers for the Web3 gaming ecosystem. The developers will also have the opportunity to experiment in test environments on each of these project ecosystems.

Alibaba Cloud will also hold regular events, including a Web2023 global hackathon event named “HAPathon 3” and a blockchain game hackathon “#asobiHack_Tokyo”. The Web 3.0 Hackathon Campaign, dubbed HAPathon 2023, is backed by Alibaba Cloud’s Hong Kong-based end-to-end digital asset financial services group and Web 3.0 infrastructure provider HashKey Group, a privacy computational network.
